CO/OP EADO

Houston, TX | 4 Story Wood Construction Over Concrete Podium

The CO/OP EaDo project is designed to reflect the layered character of the neighborhood, using varied materials and forms to break down the building’s scale and create a built-over-time aesthetic. A restrained use of pitched roofs introduces a more residential feel, helping the project relate to surrounding architecture, while a brick-forward palette ties back to the area’s industrial history. A playful, accented corner element adds a sense of identity and visual interest along the street.
Site planning responds to existing constraints, including overhead powerlines and the preservation of mature oak trees along the primary frontage—both key drivers in shaping the building footprint and public realm. Direct access to a nearby hike and bike trail is integrated as a core resident amenity, strengthening the connection between the community and its urban context.
